My Indoor Garden

I don't garden. I can't keep anything alive. We've had a garden area since we bought our home about 7 years ago and we've YET to keep anything alive in it, it just becomes a weed garden.

However, I have this weird love of garden gnomes. It's kind of funny, but it's true. We've bought a few throughout the years, but they always end up broken.

Then a couple months ago my husband brought home a gift. He knew I had had a rough day and wanted to do something to cheer me up and make my day a little brighter. This was the gift:

I didn't want to put the cute little guy outside because our garden was a weed garden and I'm also afraid of him breaking. So he's been kept inside since I got him.

When I went to Wood Connection around Mother's Day, I knew I needed to get something to keep this little guy company and to make an 'indoor garden' of sorts. I decided to go with the letters to spell the word 'GNOME'.

I also happened to run across a trio of ladybugs. Ladybugs have been huge in my life FOREVER. My parents nicknamed me 'Bug' and always associated it with ladybugs, so I kind of have a love of ladybugs as well.

It took me almost a month, but I finally got around to finishing up my projects.

And now, here's a look at my 'indoor garden'... It's on the highest shelf of our armoire thing so that the kids don't mess with pieces and break any thing.
